NEWS (February 2006): Staffordshire & Worcestershire Canal in Watercolour

Staffordshire & Worcestershire Canal in Watercolour

The next meeting of the Society takes place on Thursday 9th February 2006 at 7:30 pm in St. Andrew’s Church, Bilston Street, Sedgley.

The Ettingshall based landscape artist, Ray Whitehouse, is making a welcome second visit to the Society to display and talk about his watercolours. Ray recently finished a project researching and recording the Staffordshire & Worcestershire Canal and its surroundings. The watercolours are a delight to see bringing to life canal scenes that deserve to be visited - part of our Midland heritage and now a leisure facility.

Details of Ray's work can be found on his website: www.raymondwhitehouse.co.uk.

As usual visitors are invited to come along - admission £1. Full membership of the Society costs £4 and gives free access to the programme of talks.
